[UPDATED: August 12, 2021] Please note that due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) related travel restrictions and vaccine requirements, study abroad options may be affected. Many programs are open for in-person instruction, however, ApplyESL recommends contacting schools of interest to check status, and local embassies or consulates, to obtain information regarding visa services currently available.

Request to Change Housing Option

Due to study abroad “high seasons,” the popular home stay housing option among students tends to fill-up quickly. It is crucial that you arrange your housing as soon as possible in order to guarantee a safe and comfortable living experience while studying abroad. If your preferred housing option is full and is no longer available, you must contact your school at once to select an alternate living arrangement.

Subject: Request to Change Housing Option
Dear Sir or Madam:

I was recently accepted to your Intensive English Program for the session beginning on September 1, 2020.

I selected a homestay as my preferred housing option. However, I was recently informed the homestay option is no longer available.

I would like to choose dormitory housing as my second option. Please send me the appropriate information regarding your school’s dormitory housing including room availability, housing fees and possible pre-arranged meal plans.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.
