School Application Fees

I checked your website and would like to ask whether I need to pay the school’s application fee? For a school in the United States, does the fee include receiving the I-20 from the school? Please let me know. Sung Won

Dear Sung Won,

Most programs listed at ApplyESL.com require that you pay the school’s application fee (in full or in part) prior to you submitting the application to the school. The reason why schools charge an application fee is to cover their administrative costs and to receive a commitment from the student. Since all application fees are non-refundable, make sure that you choose the school which you believe is best for you before you apply. Once you pay the school’s application fee and your application is sent, you may also be asked to pay a mailing fee to account for the cost of mailing your I-20 (USA) to you via express mail. All students applying to a full-time English program will need to apply for the student visa and for this the school’s I-20 form is required.
