    Established in 2002, International Gateway Kelowna is the oldest ESL school in Kelowna. Due to the success of our flagship school in Kelowna, IGK has expanded to offer programs in Calgary and Toronto. Our Kelowna campus has also grown to include a career college offering a wide range of programs in our School of Business, School of Hospitality and Tourism and School of Information Technology.
    
    At IGK, we are committed to providing our students with the best possible learning experience by constantly reviewing and improving our curriculum, teaching techniques and the technology used to support our students’ learning.     At International Gateway Language Academy and College - Kelowna (IGK), students will be matched with a great local homestay. This is an amazing way to immerse yourself in Canadian culture, practice your English outside of school, and enjoy a family experience. Homestays include: a comfortable private room, a private or shared bathroom, laundry facilities, Wi-Fi, and three meals a day. For larger groups, students may stay at a local university campus. All student accommodation is easily accessible with public transportation. Their homestay families are committed to making your stay incredible!

  • Studying General English at International Gateway Language Academy and College - Kelowna (IGK) is the perfect way for you to improve your English and gain confidence in a fun, supportive environment. In the morning, you will study a mix of skills: listening, speaking, reading, writing, grammar and vocabulary.
    
    Each level takes 8 weeks to complete, and will give you the confidence, skills and language ability to be able to move on to the next level.
    
    [General English for Adult Learners (ages 19+)]
    Studying General English at IGK is the perfect way for you to improve your English and gain confidence in a fun, supportive environment. In the morning, you will study a mix of skills: listening, speaking, reading, writing, grammar and vocabulary. In the afternoon, you can choose from a range of elective classes to suit your individual needs.
    
    [General English for Juniors (12-18 years old)]
    For younger learners, IGK has tailor-made General English classes to help support their English language learning. In the morning, you study in integrated skills classes focusing on improving all of your language skills: listening, speaking, reading, writing, grammar and vocabulary. In the afternoon, project-based lessons are used to help you learn to apply your English skills, and develop your teamwork and communication skills in English.
