- About the ESL School
- Founded in 1982, LASC is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education & Training (ACCET), a US Department of Education recognized agency. LASC is authorized under Federal law to enroll nonimmigrant alien students. LASC's Designated School Officials are certified by the National Association of Foreign Student Advisers (NAFSA). LASC has agreements with numerous colleges, universities and graduate programs that our students frequently transfer to. Foreign government organizations, including the Saudi Arabian Cultural Mission, have also listed LASC as an approved ESL program.
LASC's job as ESL educators goes far beyond simply teaching English. Its one thing to teach a student English, but it is a completely different thing to teach them the experience of English. With a forward-thinking attitude, the school is constantly striving to be at the forefront of the latest technology and learning methodologies in the industry. LASC's curriculum is structured on a blended learning model, one that is heavily e-based and fully corpora informed. In so doing, the school is able to flip classrooms, allowing students to dictate their own education and interact with the language as they learn it. LASC strongly believes in providing an authentic education, one that simulates English in action, as it exists today. It is the school's goal as an institution to ensure that, upon completing the program, students have reached levels of proficiency that meet or exceed CERF standards. - For students who prefer an independent lifestyle, off-campus residences provide more privacy and offer opportunities to interact with people in the community outside the school environment. Students are encouraged to make their housing arrangements as early as possible due to the limited amount of space available.

- The campus is in Koreatown, one of the main cultural areas in urban Los Angeles. Koreatown itself is full of great restaurants and vibrant nightlife. Land marks and unique neighborhoods can be found in every direction from Koreatown: Hollywood and the Sunset Strip to the north, downtown and Echo Park to the east, USC to the south, and Culpável City and Venice to the west. Students have access to LA's growing public transportation system as we are just a block away form the Metro station. This campus suits those who really want to experience the world-famous city of Los Angeles.

English as a Second Language (ESL) Program
- Overview
- LASC offers three academic English Language School programs: English as a Second Language, English for Academic Purposes, and Business English. The ESL program consists of six levels with no minimum proficiency requirement for entry. Each level takes about one quarter (12 weeks) to complete. We monitor each student’s progress to ensure academic growth.
Students attend English Language classes four days a week, Monday thru Thursday and can choose from morning, afternoon, and evening schedules. The academic calendar follows a quarterly schedule with sessions every Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. Students are more than welcome, however, to enroll at any time. - Data

- Overview
- LASC’s Business English program is a one-year multi-level program which uses a research-based curriculum for upper-intermediate to advanced students. The aim of the program is to develop and enhance students’ abilities to communicate in commercial and cross-cultural communication settings involving business. It is designed for students with aspirations to become business professionals and entrepreneurs and for those who wish to continue their studies in undergraduate or graduate business programs.

I really enjoy LASC Language School for its events and field trips with classmates and teachers. The Halloween costume party last year was fun, and learning baseball from Teacher Ned was a great experience. The school is also conveniently located near good food and museums like LACMA and the Broad. Lastly, I'm grateful for the kind staff and representatives. They were very nice and helped me with my goals and plans during my stay in LA!
