  • A Message from School
  • My name is Vanessa Bhola and I am the Director of ILSC Montreal. I would like to share a little bit about myself. I started my ILSC journey over 10 years ago as a CELTA student, uncertain of the future ahead of me. This ignited a passion for teaching, and I became an ESL teacher at ILSC. My passion for teaching language and immersing myself in different cultures led me to Japan where I hiked up mountains, experienced spiritual growth and met wonderful people. I then travelled to Vietnam where I zipped around the city of Hanoi on a motorbike, carefree and living in the moment. When it was time to return home, I found myself back to where it all started; ILSC.
    
    As you can see, ILSC is a meaningful space to me, and I would be thrilled to welcome you to my campus. We hope you love our school and our beautiful city of Montreal just as much as I do!

  • ILSC provides students with the opportunity to enjoy a homestay experience. Homestays are an ideal option for those students who want to experience the local culture as a member of a family and practice their conversational English. Students are encouraged to make their housing arrangements as early as possible due to the limited amount of space available. Private off-campus residences are also available; however students must make their own arrangements.

  • ILSC Montreal is located in the vibrant and exciting downtown Montreal. On Sainte Catherine Street, a 3-min walk from the campus, students can find an amazing shopping destination with department stores, boutiques, restaurants, cafés and entertainment venues. Downtown Montreal is also well known for its cultural attractions and entertainment. The city is home to the Jazz Festival, Just for Laughs and the Fantasia Film Festival just to name a few. The Quartier Spectacle is a lively space where students can find free concerts, art installations and festivals! Overall, downtown Montreal is a fantastic city for their students. It is a great blend of culture, history and entertainment.

  • ILSC Montreal offers two schedules which accommodates student's personal schedules. The school offers an AM schedule (8:30-11:15), (11:45-13:00) and (13:15-14:15). Students can take 1-3 classes depending on their needs. Alternatively, the school has a PM schedule (13:15-17:15) and offers an array of courses such as Academic Preparation, General Communication, IELTS preparation, Café Skills, Business English and French and many more! Once classes are done, students can sign up to participate in one of the school's many activities to explore the city and further practice their language skills.
