  • About the ESL Program
  • Each quarter consists of 12 week Sessions. Students are required to enroll for a minimum of 18 hours/week (216 hours/quarter) in order to be considered as full time students. F1 students MUST enroll as a full time student in order to maintain a valid student status. Students will have the choice of registering as afternoon, evening, or weekend students, all totaling up to 18 hours/week. There are 4 subjects dealt with in each level of study and students will receive at least 3 hours of instruction for each subject on a weekly basis.

  • DreamIT ESL does not provide a housing placement service. Students are encouraged to start looking for a suitable option a few months before arriving in the U.S.

  • DreamIT ESL is located in the middle of the so-called K-Town, which offers students a wide variety of restaurants and shops. The most popular city attractions, such as the Empire State Building, Times Square, Broadway, and Grand Central Terminal, are all within walking distance, so students can enjoy eating, shopping, or sightseeing daily after the lessons. The campus is conveniently located near the Herald Square subway station, so it is easy for students to get around the city, so they can eaisly get to Central Park or the MoMA.

  • The Intensive English Program (IEP) at DreamIT ESL prepares students with the core language skills, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing. In addition, their program is designed to develop students’ critical thinking skills, which are needed in order to be successful in both academic and professional settings.
    
    The core competencies of reading, writing, listening, and speaking will be given equal importance. At each level, students practice all skills through thematic units suitable for thriving in the 21st century. The duration of the program is 16 weeks. The start dates are fixed, so students are advised to select the start date they want to join carefully when they apply.
