    In addition to a strong academic focus, the IEP offers an innovative approach to learning. The staff strongly believes that learning happens both inside of the classroom and out in the local community. It certainly happens outside of a textbook. That is why the IEP provides many learning opportunities for you to share experiences with both your international classmates and American students.   • The IEP can arrange on-campus housing for Apply ESL students. Our students are usually placed in the Lincoln Townhomes which are really nice. Each dormitory is set up like a four bedroom / two bath apartment. Students have their own room which locks, and they share a bathroom with one other roommate. Each apartment has a full kitchen and a washer and a drier.

  • In the Intensive English Program, the staff are dedicated to help you reach your goals. All full-time instructors have master’s-level degrees in TESOL, English, education, and other closely related disciplines. With over 120 years of combined ESL teaching experience, all the staff are highly qualified to guide you toward success.
    
    The mission of the Intensive English Program at Boise State University is to provide non-native English-speaking students with the opportunity to improve their English language skills for personal, professional, and/or academic success. The program ensures that students increase proficiency in English and achieve academic success in core subjects.
    To meet these goals, we promise:
    
    - Excellence in instruction by hiring highly qualified and dedicated instructors and staff;
    - Excellence in instruction by supporting and providing continued professional development; Quality services for students to assist in their orientation, adjustment, and academic success;
