  • More Details
    • Housing
    • While attending the school, students have the option to live in on-campus dormitories or off-campus residences. Students living on-campus will be close to classes, campus activities, and other students – both American and international. For students who prefer a more independent lifestyle, off-campus residences provide more privacy and offer opportunities to interact with people in the community outside the campus environment. Students are encouraged to make their housing arrangements as soon as possible due to the limited amount of space available. The school may provide information about private off-campus apartments; however, it is the students’ responsibility to make their own arrangements. For more information, use the Contact Address to ask the school directly.
    • Surrounding Area
    • Greensboro (population: 277,000) has a diverse local and international population, thanks in part to having an economy based primarily on education (six colleges and universities), medical research and services, and technology. Textiles (VF, Unifi), transport (UPS, FedEx), and aviation (TIMCO, Hondajet) also play an important role. Greensboro has a vibrant downtown with shopping venues, arts, sports, and parks. • Overview
    • The INTERLINK program at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro offers a unique, project-based curriculum that prepares students and professionals for success at American universities and in their careers. Students receive 20 hours of class instruction per week in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, coupled with a special three-hour weekly module. In-person classes are offered in 9-week terms and online classes are offered in 5-week terms.

INTERLINK enhances students’ use of English and cross-cultural awareness in the “Three C’s” - classroom, campus, and community. While the in-class instruction focuses on the development of academic language skills such as essay writing and formal presentation, the module allows students to explore their community, participate in special activities, and report to their teachers on their observations, findings, and learning. The in-person program arranges opportunities for students to use their newly learned language skills through sharing their cultures at local schools, community organizations, and in classes on campus. Through their active involvement in authentic communicative activities, students develop the linguistic skills necessary for professional, personal, and academic success.

Accredited by the Commission on English Language Programs Accreditation (CEA), INTERLINK supports the standards for intensive English programs established by TESOL, NAFSA, and EnglishUSA (formerly the American Association of Intensive English Programs).

      Best Place to Learn
INTERLINK is the best place to learn English in a short period. The staff are really nice and helpfull. You will learn things you didn't know about it before. I hardly recommend it to new students. If you don't speak English at all in the beginning, it will be challenging, but it is still the best place to learn.
