Our Intensive English Program provides an excellent environment in which to study English to reach your academic, professional, or personal goals. Our experienced team of instructors and staff take time to get to know our students and give them the attention and guidance that they need for success. Our program is so much more than just English. We will teach you the academic, cultural, and technological skills that will help you to transition seamlessly to university study and to help you better adjust to life in the United States. As an NC State student, you will have access to all of the facilities at the university including the world-famous Hunt Library and the 10,000 square foot Carmichael Recreation Center. 密集英语课程 (IEP) (Intensive English Program (IEP) / Pathway Program)
- 课程内容
- IEP学生将掌握学术性的、文化性的和科技性的技能，为他们取得大学和事业的成功打下坚实的基础。该课程在秋天和春天各有15周的学期，在夏天会有一个持续10周的特殊学期。 IEP的对象学生为中等到高等英语水准的学生。学生报到后将被分在3个等级的班级里：中级、高中级以及次高级。每个班级平均有15人，小班授课。
学生每周平均花费23小时的时间参与到下列课程中：写作和语法、听和听写、对话和展示技巧以及阅读和词汇。新生同时也要参加一个被称为美国生活和大学文化的特殊课程，通过这门课程学生可以了解美国的文化以及掌握学习技巧。该大学的学生以传帮带的方式参加到IEP课程中，这样IEP的学生可以获得在罗利生活和在北卡学习的内在感受。所有IEP的学生都可以享受免费的辅导，无论是面对面还是无形中。
