    • Founded in 1973, Rennert International is a private language school that has taught English as a Foreign Language to students from more than 40 nations around the world. Rennert International’s focused, flexible curriculum is designed to help students and professionals significantly improve their skills and prepare them for academic study at a college or university, enhance their professional credentials or simply to enjoy learning a new language. Rennert International’s curriculum is primarily designed to quickly improve students’ ability to communicate in real-life situations by focusing on the development of listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. Special emphasis is placed on developing students’ conversation skills. Outside of the classroom, Rennert International staff regularly organizes activities for students to practice their English in a natural environment. Favorite activities in the past include visiting the city’s world-renowned museums and art galleries, attending famous Broadway musicals and watching theater, opera and ballet performances at the legendary Lincoln Center. Students are also encouraged to independently explore the city’s vibrant, eclectic neighborhoods or take day trips to see the surrounding areas.     • Rennert International has been offering a wide variety of classes and programs to meet students’ language learning needs since 1973. Our programs appeal to both students and professionals who are interested in improving their language and communications skills. Students from around the world come to Rennert International because we offer the smallest class sizes, longest lessons, outstanding instructors and innovative programs. We are located in the heart of Manhattan, near everything worth visiting in New York.     • Rennert International provides students with the opportunity to live in off-campus residences or to enjoy a homestay experience. For students who prefer an independent lifestyle, off-campus residences provide more privacy and offer opportunities to interact with people in the community outside the campus environment. Rennert International also arranges homestays for those students who want to experience American culture first-hand as a member of a family and practice their conversational English. Students are encouraged to make their housing arrangements as early as possible due to the limited amount of space available.     • [Business English in Action (For F-1 Visa Students)]

      Students can add this language internship option to their Business English 22 or Intensive English 22 course. The first 4 weeks of just English program will be followed by 5-24 weeks of Business English AND Business English in Action. (Upper-Intermediate level of English level will be required. A Skype interview will be administered.)

      Students can put into practice all they have learned in class in a real-life business environment in New York City. This exciting experience will give the students real work experience that will help shape their future. They can practice their English communication skills in a variety of business fields, such as:

      -Marketing
      -Public Relations
      -Architecture
      -Fashion
      -Hospitality
      -Information Technology
      -Arts

      As well as real-life work experience in an American working environment, Rennert will also assist students with interview skills, American style resumes, and cover letter writing. The practical skills and experience, combined with the English instruction, make this a very worthwhile program, especially for someone looking to broaden their horizons in an international setting.

      After successfully completing the program, the students will be given a letter of recommendation from organization at the end of their internship experience.

      -22 Business English or Intensive English lessons per week (From weeks 1-16)

      Students can make the most of your vacation in the U.S. by adding this once-in-a-lifetime volunteer experience! This service is in addition to your English classes at Rennert. (This program is for international students on a tourist visa or visa waiver program.)

      Rennert’s placement team will check in with your weekly and after successful completion of your placement you will receive a letter of recommendation that will be a valuable asset in your future.

      English Program:
      -16 or 20 English lessons per week (From Week1–4)
      -2 Workshops in Resumé Building and Interview Techniques, followed by an interview (Week 1–4)

    • The program is offered year-round with sessions beginning every week. Students enrolled in the program receive 30 lessons of classroom instruction per week. This program is ideal for those students who want to achieve maximum progress in their English skills at a quick pace.

      The program is offered at 10 levels of instruction from beginner to advanced. Upon their arrival at the school, students are given written and oral examinations to guarantee their proper placement into an ability level. The program’s rigorous curriculum is primarily designed to quickly improve students’ ability to communicate in real-life situations by focusing on the development of listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. Special emphasis is placed on developing students’ conversation skills. In addition to the core curriculum, students also have the option to choose from special elective classes to develop skills in other specific language areas and needs, especially conversation.

      Outside of the classroom, Rennert International staff regularly organizes activities for students to practice their English in a natural environment. Favorite activities in the past include dinners at New York restaurants, ballet and theater performances at the Julliard Center, visits to local museums and attending concerts at local music venues. Students are encouraged to independently attend professional sports games, go sightseeing to explore some of the city’s vibrant, eclectic neighborhoods or take day trips to see the surrounding areas.

    • The program is offered year-round with sessions beginning every week. Students enrolled in the program receive 20 lessons of classroom instruction per week. This program is ideal for those students who want to improve they English skills while also sightseeing in New York City or other places in the United States. Students will achieve progress improving their English skills and also have time for extracurricular activities outside of the school. This course is recommended for students who are planning to come to New York City on a tourist visa or through the Visa Waiver Program primarily for sightseeing with some part-time English study. Be sure to speak with the school’s admissions staff if you have any questions.

      The program is offered at 10 levels of instruction from Beginner to Advanced. Upon their arrival at the school, students are given written and oral examinations to guarantee their proper placement into an ability level. The program’s curriculum is designed to improve each student’s ability to communicate in real-life situations, focusing on the development of listening, speaking, reading and writing skills while also providing opportunities for activities outside the classroom both independently and with classmates. Rennert International is well-known for its small class sizes, and because of this, students receive added attention from instructors and have extra time to practice their English. Special emphasis is placed on developing practical conversation skills. Upon successful completion of the program, students will receive a certificate from the school.

      Teachers and the Classroom
      The teachers at Rennert are so nice that you never get bored in the class because it is so interesting. At the end of the day, you learn a lot. The classrooms are nice and clean and the have a great space that feels very comfortable.

      Accurate English Level Placement
      In my opinion, RENNERT is a good school because they are very accurate placing students in the correct English level. The environment is very nice and in the classes they provide a lot of interaction between students.

      If You Want to Improve Your Speaking Skills...
      I think that Rennert is the best school ever for practicing speaking English because we have a round table where we can talk with classmates and feel comfortable. In addition, there is a good curriculum for speaking and teachers are very nice and classmates, too. I have studied at Rennert for 7 months and I'm happy with everything. I strongly recommend this school.

      How to Enjoy Learning English!
      I think this is a very good school. The quality of the lessons is excellent. The classrooms, restrooms and cafeteria are very clean! I think that if more French students knew about this program there will be many more French students here. Rennert is just a few blocks from Grand Central Station and yet everything is calm here. I have a very lovely host family and 'host-sister'.

      1週間の超短期でしたが充実してました！
      初めてのニューヨークで仕事の休暇を利用し1週間、語学留学しました。レナートは立地もよく午前中は授業、午後は観光で密度の高い1週間でした。真面目な語学学校でスタッフもフレンドリーでよかったです。私は10クラス中レベル5。クラスは11人までの少人数で2週間から2ヶ月位までの人が多く毎週メンバーが変わるようです。たまたま私のクラスは10人中日本人5と多数でしたが皆意識して仲良く英語で会話してました。クラスは20代が多く2月でしたので大学入学前の高校生もおられました。先生は几帳面で文法にこだわり、板書をしっかりされ答えが明確にわかりました。学校から紹介された徒歩2分のレジデンスはなかなかナイスで不自由はなかったです。1週間ではもったいなかったくらい充実した旅となりました。

      環境の整ったキチンとした学校
      7月下旬から専門学校入学までの3週間通いました。グランドセントラル駅のすぐ近くにあり周りにはお昼に利用できるデリやスタバもあり立地はとてもいいです。
      レベルは10段階にわかれていますが、夏休み期間で生徒が多いためかそれ以上あり、私は6+というクラスでした。クラスは半分がヨーロピアン、半分が日本、韓国の生徒でした。日本人は私以外にひとりしかおらず、 いい環境でした。
      アクティビティも充実しており、私はアパート探しに忙しく利用出来なかったのですが、学校割引のミュージカル鑑賞やヤンキース観戦、その他小旅行等も企画されています。アクティビティは授業の終わる夕方以降に毎日なにかしらあり、希望者は自由に参加できます。
      授業は習った文法を使いゲームやペアワークが中心でした。先生によっては授業がおもしろくないとも聞きましたが、担任だった先生は毎日授業進行の準備をしっかりしてくる、わかりやすく良い先生でした。
      大きな学校で環境と立地もよく気に入りました。

      仕事の休暇を利用しての、１週間だけの留学でした。ビザ無しのVacation Course で、午前中は勉強、午後はニューヨークの観光で、１週間の短い時間をとても有効活用できました。
      　留学前は、学校の場所がニューヨークの中心で、落ち着いて勉強できる環境なのか少し心配でした。でも、授業進め方が会話中心で、かつ、教科書の読み物やテーマに沿ったインターネット活用と大変工夫されていたので、集中して勉強できました。また、授業中に各自の意見や考えを発言する機会も多く、授業テーマにも興味が持てました。
      　最初心配だった学校の立地が、マンハッタンのどこに行くにも大変便利だったので、毎日午後には充分観光を楽しめました。

      エネルギッシュな先生
      New Yorkの中心にあるこの学校は、少人数制でとても学びやすかったです。私は午前と午後の両方のコースを取りましたが、学ぶ場所も先生もちがってより楽しかったです。熱心な先生で一生懸命教えてくださいました。授業外で市内見学につれて行ってくれたのですが、いろいろ詳しく説明してくれました。私は一人での参加でしたので、演劇など観に行かなかったのは残念でしたが、英語の勉強は十分できました。New Yorkは一人でも行動しやすいのでいいところです。また行って勉強したいと思います。

      はじめの一歩
      外国で一人で何日間もすごすなんて、とっても不安で、何年間も自分には夢だ。できたらいいなぁと思ってるだけでした。

      しかしある日目に飛び込んできた”夢はかなえなければいつまでも追ってくる”という言葉に、憧れだけで終わらせたくない。そんな風に思い！いざパソコンで”留学”と検索。するとたくさんの学校が出てきました。まずは学校側へ質問、返事はいつも丁寧かつ迅速に返ってきて、一気に夢へと前進したように思いました。
      むしろどうして今まで・・・なんて感情までも。２６歳にして初めての留学。

      この学校はいろんな視野からコースを設けてくれてるので、仕事で一ヶ月しか休みがとれなっかた私でさえ、きちんと授業を受けることができました。

      先生はすっごくいい先生で丁寧に教えてくださり、楽しかったですよ。
      友達もたくさんでき、充実した日々を送ることができました。

      この経験が自信になり、今では世界に飛び回っています！！
      夢があるのに思い描いてるだけなんてもったいない。はじめの一歩踏み出すのにこの学校はとてもいいと思いますよ！
