Admission to ELP

To be admitted to Chatham’s ELP program, students must already have basic English skills, have completed secondary education (high school), and be interested in further improving their English skills.

Admission Process

For the online application, you will need to create a profile and complete all the required forms. In addition to the application forms, please submit scanned or photographed copies of the following documents:

  1. Passport
  2. Proof of funding/financial documents (financial guarantee or bank statement)
  3. Most recent transcript or high school diploma

Deadlines

In order to support successful application and enrollment into Chatham as an international student, we recommend the following application deadlines:

  • Fall Enrollment: May 1 priority and July 1 deadline
  • Spring Enrollment: October 15 priority and November 1 deadline
  • Summer Enrollment: February 15 priority deadline and March 1 deadline

Complete Online Application

After we receive your complete application, it will be reviewed within one week. If you are accepted, you will receive an official letter via email and directions on your next steps. Below are the important steps.

  1. You will need to confirm your mailing address and follow other instructions to receive your I-20 if you need an I-20. 2.
  2. An acceptance packet with your immigration documents will be mailed to you.
  3. You will need to pay your deposit through Chatham's application portal to reserve a space in our courses.
  4. After you pay your deposit, you will receive an email about your Chatham’s IT account. Follow the instructions to set up an account.
  5. Come to orientation. You will take a placement test and register for classes during orientation.
