Welcome to the Applied English Center (AEC) at the University of Kansas and ApplyESL.com! The AEC has specialized in teaching English since 1964. We are part of the University of Kansas (KU), a large university located in Lawrence, an historic small Midwestern city in the heartland of the USA. The KU campus is one of the most beautiful in the United States. Our friendly and experienced staff is dedicated to help you improve your English quickly. We will teach you about American culture and university life to help you in your academic classes. We offer free conversation classes, computer workshops, and many opportunities to meet Americans and visit local sites of interest. We carefully plan these opportunities to help you strengthen your English ability. Many advanced students are able to enroll in AEC and KU classes at the same time. AEC students can participate in all KU cultural, social, and sporting events, as well as use all KU facilities. Many AEC students are enthusiastic fans of the famous KU Jayhawk basketball team.
