Thank you for visiting our profile on ApplyESL.com! We encourage you to learn more about the Haggerty English Language Program (HELP) of the State University of New York at New Paltz. The village of New Paltz is located in a safe, clean and scenic area of upstate New York, just 90 minutes north of New York City. HELP welcomes students from around the world who wish to improve their English skills for personal, academic, and professional purposes. The Program has earned a reputation for its excellent teachers and small classes and also offers mentoring, advising, and tutoring so that you will receive the individual attention necessary to succeed. Study at HELP includes a Conversation Partner Program, a wonderful opportunity for you to practice your English with an American student.
The village of New Paltz boasts an active social life, and HELP also offers trips and activities to many cultural and recreational areas nearby. Past events have included trips to New York City, Boston and Washington D.C., as well as activities like hiking, skiing and sightseeing. Our campus has also the reputation of being among the top group of colleges and universities in the United States for safety policies and procedures.
