Greetings from Oregon! Welcome to the ApplyESL.com website of the English Language Institute at Oregon State University! I am the Director of the ELI, and we are all ready to help you achieve your English language learning goals. The ELI has caring staff and professional, experienced faculty. Our classes use active learning methods that enable each student to do his or her best. We are located in the lovely town of Corvallis, located between the Cascade Mountains and the Pacific Ocean. The university campus offers an award-winning library, high-speed computer access, a student health center, and a great recreation center for study and leisure activities. The ELI also offers conversation partners, field trips, and many group activities like evenings at the climbing gym and craft center and informal coffee hours. Oregon State University offers conditional admission to qualified ELI students. In addition, ELI students who are academically admissible, complete the ELI's most advanced level, and get an ELI recommendation can use our recommendation in place of a TOEFL score for undergraduate and graduate admissions.
