Greetings from New York City! I'm pleased to present a profile of our English language program though our ongoing association with ApplyESL.com. This is a unique site which streamlines your program application process. The American Language Institute (ALI) has been a fixture at New York University since 1945. Our various programs of study, including Intensive English, University Preparation, and Professional Programs, are all closely linked to the University, to our Greenwich Village neighborhood, and to this great city. We want our students to be aware of the vast resources available to them. We have a large, full-time, professionally qualified faculty. And the faculty insures that our programs focus on academic issues and provide inter cultural orientation and learning support. Our international student advisor provides guidance for issues outside of the classroom, including housing, university applications, visa information, and personal plans and problems. Our goal: To enable our students to adapt to a rigorous university life, and to immerse themselves in the culture and the excitement of one the world's most vibrant cities. We would be pleased if you would join us!
