Greetings from Lewis & Clark in beautiful Portland, Oregon! As the Director of the Academic English Studies (AES) program, I welcome you to our profile on ApplyESL.com! In the AES program, I have the opportunity to work with both exceptional faculty and students. I am proud that we have developed a detailed and relevant curriculum that will assist you in preparing for future academic work.
We introduce our students to our library and computer labs, help them practice English using different research tools, and give them many different opportunities to practice their newly-acquired language skills; additionally, we strongly support our students efforts to integrate themselves into our community. I greatly enjoy working with our Conversation Group and our Friendship Family Coordinators. They bring our students together with families in the Portland area and members of the Lewis & Clark campus community.
AES students have full access to all campus facilities and services, and also enjoy getting to know their American roommates. When you study in the AES program, you will have the opportunity to apply 24 AES course credits toward a Lewis & Clark undergraduate degree. If you have any questions or if you would like more information about our AES program, please contact us. We look forward to meeting you here in Portland!
