As Director of the English Language Center (ELC) at Northeastern University, I welcome you to our profile on ApplyESL.com. The ELC serves 400 students from around the world each year. Most of our students are preparing to apply to a university, some are already attending a university, and others are working professionals. The ELC curriculum is designed to provide our students with the language skills, academic abilities, and confidence to succeed in an American university. Our teachers are dedicated professionals with Master's degrees in TESOL or related fields, years of teaching experience, and are well-known scholars and authors of ESL textbooks. Northeastern University is ideally located in the center of Boston, the heart of New England, and is near many of the city's most famous social and cultural institutions. Renowned for its history as well as its beauty, Boston is also internationally recognized as the educational capital of the United States, creating an atmosphere rich with artistic, social and intellectual opportunities.
