Founded in 1989, Archer College provides excellent language learning instruction to non-native English speakers to help them quickly reach their academic goals. Operating under the experienced guidance of the Archer Education Group, Archer College offers rigorous academic curriculums among its three locations in Toronto, Vancouver and Hamilton - an intimate city outside of Toronto. At Archer College, students study in complete, comprehensive programs to improve their English language skills in all areas through practical communication and effective skills-building exercises. As an added benefit, students intending to study in degree programs after achieving an advanced level of English have the option of transferring to Archer College's fully-accredited university transfer programs without requiring a TOEFL exam. Archer College's collaboration with select universities provides its graduates the opportunity to continue their studies and complete an undergraduate degree in Canada. These universities include: Royal Roads University; Cape Breton University; and Athabasca University. With Canada being one of the safest, most welcoming and beautiful countries in the world, students are encouraged to see and experience life outside of the classroom, whether independently or through the array of activities, sports, city tours and weekend trips arranged by Archer College. Archer instructors incorporate local field trips in to their curriculum to help students practice their English, see more of the local environment and meet friendly Canadians. The Archer Education Group is a member of the Canadian Education Centre Network (CECN); Archer College Vancouver is also a member of the Canadian Language Industry Association (AILIA).

Students are encouraged to make their housing arrangements as early as possible due to the limited amount of space available. University-style residence may also be available. For private apartments, students must make their own arrangements. For more information, use the Contact Address to ask the school directly. |

| The Archer College Vancouver campus is centrally located near the heart of lovely downtown Vancouver, British Columbia. Home to over 580,000 city residents and 2.1 million in the metropolitan area, Vancouver is famously regarded as Canada's most beloved city with its close proximity to the spectacular sea-to-sky mountains, its clear ocean views and for its desirable climate, one of the mildest in Canada. Renowned for preserving its natural beauty within the city, Vancouver is home to one of North America's largest urban parks, the picturesque Stanley Park that is frequented by cyclists, runners and roller-bladers and home to Douglas-fir and Western Hemlock trees hundreds of years old. Voted the "Best City in the Americas" in 2004 by Cond Nast Traveler magazine, Vancouver is a dynamic, multicultural city with people from nations around the world filling the streets and speaking languages ranging from English and Punjabi to German and Japanese. As the Host City of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games, Vancouver demonstrates itself to be large enough to offer world-class events yet still retain its charm, safety and warm hospitality. Sports enthusiasts have no problem in finding a team to cheer-on in Vancouver, a city home to dedicated fans that are serious about their teams, including the British Columbia Lions (Canadian Football League), the much-beloved Vancouver Canucks (NHL hockey), and the Vancouver Canadians (baseball). Nestled along the Coast Mountain Range, downtown Vancouver is ideally a two-hour drive from the world-famous ski and snowboarding resort of Whistler-Blackcomb while the picturesque destinations of Vancouver Island, the Canadian Rockies, Victoria (British Columbia's capital city) and Seattle in the United States are all nearby and provide fantastic weekend getaway options. |
