Founded in 1938, Brandon College is a well-established private language school that is one of the oldest of its kind in the San Francisco Bay Area. Brandon College consistently produces successful, satisfied students. For nearly seven decades, the school has specialized in teaching English to foreign students, professionals and visitors from all around the world and continues to significantly improve their English skills and prepare them for success, whether at an academic institution, in a professional setting or for personal satisfaction. The school is located in the heart of downtown San Francisco, exposing students to different cross-cultural ideas that come with studying in a diverse urban environment and deepen their communication skills and cultural understanding. Brandon College's rigorous curriculum focuses on developing students' fundamental English skills in the areas of: Grammar, Writing, Conversation, Pronunciation, Listening, Reading and Vocabulary. Optional afternoon classes are available in addition to students' core curriculum where they can further their studies by attending such classes as: Conversation, TOEIC Preparation and TOEFL Self-Study. Outside of the classroom, students independently explore San Francisco and experience the city's vibrant, eclectic neighborhoods to gain practical insight of the city's culture. Many students participate in organized events, as well, and enjoy movie nights, watching live theater performances, experiencing the city's famous "café culture" and visiting nearby destinations such as Berkeley and the Napa Valley. Brandon College is a proud member of AAIEP, the American Association of Intensive English Programs promoting professional standards and high-quality English programs, and also a proud member of ACCET, the Accrediting Commission of the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training.

| Brandon College provides students with the opportunity to live in off-campus residences or enjoy a homestay experience. For students who prefer an independent lifestyle, off-campus residences provide more privacy and offer opportunities to interact with people in the community outside the school environment. The school also arranges homestays for those students who want to experience American culture first-hand as a member of a family and practice their conversational English. Students are encouraged to make their housing arrangements as early as possible due to the limited amount of space available. Private off-campus apartments are also available; however students must make their own arrangements. For more information, use the Contact Address to ask the school directly. |

Home to over 740,000 residents, San Francisco, nicknamed the "City by the Bay" and "America's Favorite City," is the fourth-largest city in California and is best known for its friendliness and intense spirit of individualism. Celebrated for its beauty, mild climate and sophistication, San Francisco's hilly streets provide gorgeous views of the San Francisco Bay and its famous bridges, including the world-renowned Golden Gate Bridge. Home to a variety of cultures and ethnicities, San Francisco encourages both visitors and residents alike to explore diverse neighborhoods such as bustling Chinatown and Japantown, North Beach's Italian quarter and vibrant Haight-Ashbury, the heart of the 1960s hippie movement. A trip across the Golden Gate Bridge will take you to the majestic Muir Woods National Monument - the "best tree-lovers monument" in the world - the famous wine country of Napa and Sonoma, and picturesque beaches and hiking trails.
