Founded in 1972, Embassy CES is a group of prestigious private language schools that produce successful and satisfied students. Over the past three decades, Embassy CES has helped more than half a million international students significantly improve their English skills and prepare them for academic study at a college or university. The Centers are located amongst 18 of the best-known cities in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand in order to offer students exposure to different cross-cultural ideas in vibrant urban environments that will deepen their English communication skills and cultural understanding. Many instructors are experienced specialists that are qualified to teach international students using a wealth of modern teaching techniques. The curriculum they instruct is dynamic and carefully planned where ideas are easier to grasp and practiced through classroom discussion and real-life situation simulations. Embassy CES operates under the experienced guidance of Study Group, a well-respected global leader in the field of international education and training. Spanning its presence in five continents, Study Group operates 18 teaching centers, 17 regional offices and 3 international admissions centers to solidify its global and local network. Embassy CES is a proud member of AAIEP, the American Association of Intensive English Programs promoting professional standards and high-quality English programs.

Faculty Qualifications |

| Embassy CES instructors are highly-qualified, native speaking professionals. Many instructors have lived and traveled abroad and have extensive training and experience teaching English to students from around the world. The personal and academic qualities of Embassy CES instructors make each uniquely qualified to offer meaningful language-learning opportunities and to care deeply about their students. |

| Embassy CES provides students with the opportunity to live in off-campus residences or enjoy a homestay experience. For students who prefer a more independent lifestyle, off-campus residences provide more privacy and offer opportunities to interact with people in the community outside the campus environment. Homestays are also a living option for those students who want to experience the local culture as a member of a family and practice their conversational English. Students are encouraged to make their housing arrangements as early as possible due to the limited amount of space available. Private off-campus apartments are also available; however students must make their own arrangements. For more information, use the Contact Address to ask the school directly. |

| The Embassy CES San Diego Center is located in a modern high-rise building offering stunning views of the city and is situated in the heart of the San Diego city center. The center's ideal location offers students easy access to San Diego's entertainment and shopping district, Horton Plaza, a neighborhood replete with fashionable boutiques, eclectic restaurants and movie theaters. The historic Gaslamp Quarter is a short walk from the Center and boasts a lively nightlife. As California's second largest city and the nation's seventh, San Diego is home to nearly 1.3 million residents within the metropolitan area and 2.8 million people within San Diego County. San Diego is most widely-recognized for its nearly perfect climate, 70 miles of pristine beaches, and a vast assortment of family attractions, including the world-renowned San Diego Zoo, Legoland California, and SeaWorld San Diego. The area's idyllic climate makes spending outdoors a daily pleasure. The 600,000-acre Anza Borrego Desert State Park is an outdoor enthusiast's paradise with endless opportunities available to go hiking and camping, fishing, and quietly observe wildlife among the regionally-famous spring wildflowers. For those that prefer water sports, miles of Pacific Ocean coastline readily offer year-round surfing, swimming, sailing, and boating opportunities. With San Diego being only a 30-minute drive from the U.S.-Mexico border, many visit Mexico's border town, Tijuana, for some duty-free shopping, sightseeing, and enjoying an authentic Mexican meal. For a weekend trip, the city of Los Angeles and its major attractions are a 180 km drive north of San Diego's downtown area. |
