Founded in 1938, KAPLAN ASPECT is a group of prestigious private language schools that have helped millions of students from around the world significantly improve their English skills in the shortest time possible and prepare them for academic study at an American college or university. The Centers are located among thirteen of the best-known cities in North America - including Vancouver, Canada - in order to offer independent students exposure to different cross-cultural ideas in vibrant urban environments that will deepen their English communication skills and cultural understanding. For those students interested in studying at an American college or university, KAPLAN ASPECT operates three of its centers on college campuses and offers students full access to campus facilities including the library, sports facilities and the computer center. Learning from native speaking instructors, students study from well-developed curriculums designed to develop their fluency and hone their skills in the areas of listening, speaking, reading and writing, as well as pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar. To help students achieve their individual academic goals, KAPLAN ASPECT centers also offer a variety of workshops to complement students' coursework, including: Vocabulary Development, Speech and Pronunciation, Writing, Accent Reduction and TOEFL Skills Preparation. KAPLAN ASPECT is the educational subsidiary of the major newspaper company, The Washington Post, and a sister division of the major magazine, Newsweek. KAPLAN ASPECT is also a proud member of AAIEP, the American Association of Intensive English Programs promoting professional standards and high-quality English programs.

|
| KAPLAN ASPECT provides students with the opportunity to live in off-campus residences or enjoy a homestay experience. For students who prefer a more independent lifestyle, off-campus residences provide more privacy and offer opportunities to interact with people in the community outside the campus environment. These residences are conveniently located a short distance from the center. Homestays are also a living option for those students who want to experience the local culture as a member of a family and practice their conversational English. Students are encouraged to make their housing arrangements as early as possible due to the limited amount of space available. Private off-campus apartments are also available; however students must make their own arrangements. For more information, use the Contact Address to ask the school directly. |

| The KAPLAn ASPECT Center is centrally located in the heart of Coral Gables, an exclusive and historic suburb just south of downtown Miami. Also known as "The City Beautiful," Coral Gables is home to the University of Miami, the world-famous Biltmore hotel and boasts a vibrant business, cultural and residential community set in a tropical, Mediterranean environment. Conveniently located on the Southern line of the Miami metro - the city's public transportation system - the center's location provides students with easy access to a city home to a fusion of the world's cultures and an unparalleled diversity of ethnic backgrounds, cultural traditions and lifestyles. Recognized as the gateway for Latin America and the Caribbean, Miami - commonly called the "American Riviera" - is home to 380,000 residents and is the global crossroad for both business and entertainment, from international banking and real estate to fashion and film. Miami boasts a number of famed neighborhoods for tourists and residents alike to soak in the dynamic and exotic Miami lifestyle, most notably being South Beach - known locally as "The Beach." World-famous South Beach prides itself not only for its award-winning beaches and offering one of the most glamorous nightclub districts in the world, but more significantly maintains the largest concentration of 1920s and 1930s Art Deco architecture in the world. A short drive outside of Miami will take you to the historic Florida Keys, MGM Studios and Disneyworld in Orlando, Busch Gardens in Tampa, the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral and the Everglades National Park in Southern Florida, one of the nation's largest parks and home to many rare and endangered species. |
