Founded in 1987, FLS International has grown from a small neighborhood school to a prominent group of six private language centers housed on the American university and college campuses of Citrus College, Dean College, Lock Haven University, MiraCosta College, Oxnard College, and the College of Southern Nevada. In addition to attending classes on-campus, FLS students also gain full access to campus facilities, including modern athletic facilities, computer labs with Internet access, libraries, and language labs. Learning from highly-qualified, native speaking instructors, students study from a well-developed curriculum designed to hone their English skills in the areas of speaking, listening, reading, and writing. To complement their 'core class' study, students also select from a wide variety of elective classes to study topics pertinent to their individual interests, such as American Culture, Life Skills, TOEFL Preparation, Business English, and Composition. As part of the IEP curriculum, FLS regularly organizes exciting social and cultural activities for students to practice their newly-acquired English skills while visiting dozens of local, popular attractions. FLS International is a proud member of AAIEP, the American Association of Intensive English Programs promoting professional standards and high-quality English programs.

Homestays are ideal for those students who want to experience American culture as a member of a family and practice their conversational English. | The main MiraCosta campus is located in Oceanside, California, a beautiful beachfront community home to more than 170,000 residents. With a beautiful climate boasting an average high of 18ｰC in January and 24ｰC in July, Oceanside offers its residents a perfect place to visit the beaches year-round to go swimming, surfing, water-skiing, fishing off its famous 1,942-foot pier or to simply soak in the sun. If you crave a taste for bigger city life, San Diego is just a 30-minute drive south of Oceanside where you can enjoy the ballet, opera or the symphony, visit the famous San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park, experience a San Diego Padres baseball game, or tour the San Diego Museum of Art. With Oceanside being only an hour drive from the U.S.-Mexico border, many visit Mexico's border town, Tijuana, for some duty-free shopping, sightseeing, and enjoying an authentic Mexican meal. For a weekend trip, the city of Los Angeles and its major attractions are a 150 km drive north of Oceanside's downtown area. |

About the College/University |

| Established in 1964, MiraCosta College is a public, two-year community college boasting two campuses and a combined enrollment of 9,000 students. With a Spanish name meaning "behold the coast," MiraCosta College's first Oceanside campus is situated on a stunning 121-acre hilltop location with stunning panoramic ocean and mountain views. The San Elijo campus opened its doors in 1988 and is located on 42 acres facing the San Elijo Lagoon in Cardiff-by-the-Sea. In preparation to enroll in baccalaureate degree programs and transfer to four-year institutions, MiraCosta students are offered Associate Degree programs in all academic areas with the most popular majors being nursing, computer science, child development, and biotechnology. With well-established transfer agreements in place with the University of California, San Diego, San Diego State University, and California State University, San Marcos, students have plenty of academic options to complete a four-year degree program upon completion of their studies at MiraCosta. Outside of the classroom, students are actively involved in the campus community, either by participating in student-run organizations, joining one of the campus athletic teams, "The Spartans," writing for the campus newspaper, "The Chariot," or attending student-produced theatrical performances, concerts and other campus events. |
