      UESL Offers Small Classes
The most important reason to study at CWU is the quality education. CWU’s teachers are very kind and cheerful. And sometimes we study English with music, movies, and games. So you can enjoy studying English. And UESL offers small classes. So we can ask teachers questions with a light heart. Also there are five levels, so you can learn English at a suitable level for you. We can study English at our own pace and we can develop our English skills. And in CWU, there are a lot of students from different countries. This is a golden opportunity to make contacts between people from different cultures and make foreign friends. Don’t miss this perfect opportunity.

      Happy Atmosphere
I really like the people who live in Ellensburg. They are very nice. When I first came to Ellensburg, I lost my way, and I asked a man who lives here. He was very patient with me, and told me how to go back to school. I was grateful to him. Actually, most of the people I met here are very friendly in Ellensburg. They always smile at me, and it makes me feel comfortable. I like the happy atmosphere so much. Even though sometimes I may have difficulty during live in Ellensburg, but I am not worry about that. I know I have a lot of nice friends who live in Ellensburg can help me solve the problem, and then I can focus on learning English. I don’t need to worry about the trivial matters.

      CWU Facilities
CWU provides good facilities. In the school, there is a library with many books, classrooms that include recent equipment, and restaurants with many kinds of food. Especially, the kinds of books in a library are quite various. For example, students can use library books to research academic topics and even find entertaining books for free time reading. Also, the library has equipment like computers, printers, and projectors, which are very useful for preparing assignments. The library and most classrooms are equipped with these, so all students can use them for free. Moreover the food in the restaurants is highly nutritious and good for students’ health. Also, in CWU, there are a lot of students from other countries, so the menus of the restaurants are quite varied. For example, they have Italian food, Asian food, Mexican food, and traditional American fast food. Therefore, students who don’t like American food can try to have another sort of food so they don’t have to cook for themselves. In conclusion, students can use most of facilities that they need, although we don’t go out of the school. In other words, they can concentrate only on studying in this school.

      Affordable City
Most students choose to study in Ellensburg because it is a small city. A lot of students don’t have a car and they want to find everything near them . In Ellensburg students can walk when they need food, the library and shopping. Additionally, the money is often a problem for all students, but a small city helps them to save their money because they don’t have many places where they can spend their money . Finally, sometimes students need a quiet place for studying. Small cities like Ellensburg are always quiet because they don’t have a lot of people or a lot of cars .

Imagine! Everything is so expensive. There aren't any chances to use English outside of class. It's hard to concentrate to study because you are enjoying the nightlife too much. The area is densely populated, noisy, polluted, and has endless traffic jams. Are you sure that those places which include these bad factors are good places to study English? Do you want to study English in a big city just because you've already heard its names? Or are you looking for a place which doesn't includes these bad factors? It is in Ellensburg that these obstacles are not existent. And I think that the main reasons to study in Ellensburg are its affiliation with a university, its good atmosphere, and its low living expenses.

More effective than studying in our country
Central Washington University in Ellensburg has great UESL program. If you want to improve English, you should come here. The UESL program is only for helping international student to learn English. Teacher, classmates and students all speak English. So it’s more effective than studying in our country. Additionally, CWU has a conversation partner program. You can practice English with them just for you. In my case, my conversation partner and me usually meet three times a week. She helping me about pronounce and what should I say exactly when I use the word. It’s really make me good student. I hope you also have a get good conversation partner. In conclusion, Ellensburg has great environment, many good people and CWU has good program. I recommend CWU for your English skill. Come to quickly and enjoy!

      A Good Place to Study
I have studied here for more than 6 months because the place is safe and peaceful; the university is excellent; and the people are warm and nice. Ellensburg is safe and peaceful. Ellensburg is a small town, so it is natural that we can see a beautiful view. There are different mountains around and we often see the blue and clear sky. They make me more relaxed and feel comfortable; it is good for studying. The school has set up an ESL program. In addition to speaking, writing, grammar and listening, we can choose different courses to improve our English. I can learn more about American history and culture and we discussed different ideas about the culture from this class. Also, the teachers are patient and responsible. They are very understanding and concerned for the students. They carry out a number of interesting activities to teach the students. The people in Ellensburg are very warm and nice. Although my English is not fluent, they still patiently listen to me when I talk. When I do not understand, they can say things in other ways to make me understand easily. I love the people in Ellensburg. If you study in Ellensburg, you will not feel nervous and stressed. In conclusion, I think Ellensburg is a good place to study, because the place is safe and peaceful; the university is excellent; and the people are warm and nice. I hope if you choose to come to the US to study, you will pick out Ellensburg.

It is very safe in this city
One of the most important reasons to choose Ellensburg as a place to study is the kind people. People in Ellensburg have high moral standards, so it is very safe in this city. For example, in larger city students have to be careful when they walk at night, but in Ellensburg the students can walk safely at night. Additionally, the people in Ellensburg respect other religions compared to people in some other cities. For instance, the international center has allocated a place for Arab students to pray. It cooperates with all of the Muslim students who have come from other countries . This will make the students feel comfortable, so they will study hard and do their best. In addition, the people can understand foreign cultures. You won’t feel that you are a stranger in this city. The people show respect for you and your culture.

Don't Be Shy and too nervous
There are two steps to help you, one is to be attentive in the class and to review after class . For example , you should prepare a notebook and some binders so you can take noyes in your classes . It’s an easy way to help you review what teacher teaches . Another is speaking . Don’t be shy and too nervous when you talk with Americans, because if you don’t say anything, no one will know what you think , and you will not progress in your English speaking . When teacher asks “any questions ?” and you don’t understand something, you should raised your hand .

It is the best chance of your life
Most people are given chances to change their life. Some people take the chances and make a good end in their life, but the people who don’t take it ask themselves “Why didn’t we take it? “. However, if you decide to study in the USA, don’t hesitate? because it is the best chance of your life.

Don't Be Afraid to Make a Mistake
I think the most important reason for us to come here is not just playing and enjoying our lives, but studying. Studying in America might be different from studying any other country. Studying here will be interesting and funny. You can play games during the classes, and you will interact with your classmates. You can learn the knowledge from the entertainment. But study is not just for fun. We should work hard not only in class but also out of class. In class, you should listen to the teacher carefully and take notes, and after class you should finish you homework in time. If you have some problems with your homework, you c! an go to the office and ask your teachers. I think they will be happy to help you. I know many of you are afraid to ask the teacher if you have problems, but don’t be afraid to make a mistake, that is how we learn! Isn’t it? And you will be proud of if you study hard and get a grade A. You can also improve your English skills by talking with your conversation partner or other American students.

It has been 10 years since I left CWU, currently I'm working for Samsung at Austin, Texas. I think the experience at CWU is still helping me as my job requires English communication skills here. So I really appreciate the help which you and many teachers who taught me during my UESL period gave me.

Muy buena experiencia (A Very Good Experience)

"I recommend Central Washington University 100%!"
