I am an international student who just started Masters in English Language and Literature. I am a teacher of English as a Foreign Language in my home country, and I have come to UM-Flint to further improve my linguistic skills and knowledge. Since the moment my plane landed people have been very kind and welcoming. I have found it very easy to feel at home here. I also like the classes. They are interactive and you can see that the person teaching the class is passionate about their field. They encourage you as a student to do your best and they provide the support and assistance you need to achieve it. I am living in First Street Residence Hall at the moment. I think I made the right choice because I have been able to meet a lot of other students and the facilities cover all my basic needs. It is nice and safe place to start your life at UM-Flint

Work Hard to Achieve Your Dreams
This university is so generous, wants the best for students, and has created the best studying environment I've ever experienced in my life. Being in the downtown area saves me a lot of time. It's also very nice and very safe. My advice to new students is to believe in yourselves and work hard to achieve your dreams. There are many people at UM-Flint happy to help you do exactly that.
