English Course and Masters Program
I recently completed my bachelor’s degree, but have not taken any standardized test like IELTS or TOEFL. I’m interested in taking an ESL course and then starting a masters program. Is it possible?
Yours, Masanobu
Dear Masanobu,
Thank you for your question!
Many schools offer a system by which students can apply for the English program first, improve their English and then apply for a degree, like a masters program. Some schools refer to this as a ‘Pathway’ program and others refer to it as their own system of Conditional Admission. In each ApplyESL.com profile there is information about whether such systems exist at each school. In many cases, you may not need to have test score in order to be accepted. Instead, you can simply complete the program and the school will use that as proof of our improved English ability.
